PhD in Computer Science: research areas, programme structure and admission requirements.
The PhD in Computer Science is a four-year programme spread across eight semesters. The first academic year focuses on coursework and research proposal writing; the remaining three years are dedicated to research and thesis writing.
Admission requirements
The PhD programme focuses on Theoretical Computer Science, Computer Security, Computer Vision and Image Processing, and Modeling and Optimization of Operational Systems.
To qualify, candidates should have a good Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. Candidates with another Master's degree may be considered where there is substantial evidence of advanced Computer Science knowledge acquired through research or professional work.
